Foundations
All undergraduate studio art, interdisciplinary digital studio, and art education students in the School of Visual Arts begin their studio work in Foundations, which is composed of two art studio courses that they will take in their first year of study. The two courses, ART 110S (Ideas as Visual Images), and Art 111 (Ideas as Objects) will provide students with foundational skills and knowledge in both traditional and digital media. These foundational experiences are required to prepare students for advanced study in a specific area of concentration.
